We had the same issue at Freeserve where a large amount of it's customers could not acess internet banking or https sites. Despite gathering lenghty information the team at Freeserve where not willing to look into it. I myself spent many hours speaking to the customers involved noting down anything and looking for trends. Since proxies where not part of Freeserve as i understood it i never even went down that alley of investigation.

The particular issue with Nationwide (I'm a new customer with them so have not spent much time on their site yet) is the "payments & transfers" page - when I click "payments due" or "manage arrangements" the egg-timer just sits there and the pages won't open - it's fine if I actually want to make a payment, it's just those 2 options seem inaccessible. Again, this worked fine using the temp non-BY proxy
CrC-3rr0r provided on Sunday so is obviously something BY related.
I have emailed BY support but as yet have heard nothing from them.
