a cheap current generation ATI VIVO as far as i can find, strange....
the best i can find is the X800 chip and i seem to remember thats a broken/relabeled chip ?.

i dont know CrC, i dont currently have one to try, thats why i asked, i do know that the software Encoding part of the
AVIVO* package uses some of the hardware in the X1000 series chips to do the Encoding and hence makes it far faster than CPU only bound encoding.

capturing this DV, or do you mean just copying the original DV MPeg to your PC ?.
*AVIVO does not mean VIVO (aka Video-in/Video-Out), its a brand name for the whole software/hardware package.
