Not true : You should learn windows a bit more m8

You can Export the registry and ini references and update the key values before re-importing them onto a new disk or machine. Partition Magic even can do it.

Or you can do it yourself manually if you're really brave enough - did mine last with windows perl and cygwin as I didn't want to trust any old windows app.
