TBH don't worry about it. I leave my lappy plugged in most of the time, whether or not it is in use. Iv'e never had any noticeable problems.

Any rechargeable battery will gradually degrade. It's just one of those things. YOu can get paranoid about it, or accept it. If you do go using it mobile a lot, then you might want to get a backup battery, but most users find the existing battery life more than adequate.

And most lappys will work powered even if the battery is useless.
