Anyone got an ethernet hard drive?

Im looking to buy one to attach to a router so that there's a common storage point for all of the machines on the network.

Im aware of LACIE's (500Gb for about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£250) but was wondering if anyone has one, or another brand and wanted to share their experiences in terms of speed, reliability, noise and heat generation.
