I have to post this, as I am almost outraged at some peoples flippant comments about 'if you don't like it put your child in another school'... I can only assume that those of you that have said that don't have children (at all, or of school age)...It's not that bloody simple. There may only be one school in your catchment area, or if there is more than one, there still may be no space in your preferred option, and there's no other choice (apart from moving house to be in the right catchment, which isn't always possible in the real world.....). All the bloody fuss that was made a few months ago in the news about a school asking a muslim girl NOT to wear her scarf, and now this? FFS. .
