Re: School forces girls to wear head scarves

Wonder what would happen though if a school decided that it would ban head scarfs from being worn as it is not school uniform then? The local school by me is CoE and connected with the local church. There are some muslim children who attend (school has a reputation for high standars of teaching and there are more parents who want to send their children there than places aailable) and the school allows the girls to wear a headscarf. Now, as this is not a part of the school uniform, can I take it from the comments posted on here that it is therefore not a problem for the school to ban children from wearing them?
