Open up a command prompt, then type:
- ftp upload.ntlworld.com
(then, when prompted)
- user xxxxx
- pass xxxx
Can you log in this way? If yes, the issue is with your ftp client or its settings.
If your using Firefox you could always try
http://fireftp.mozdev.org/ as an alternative.
