Scientists believe that humans may evolve into 2 distinct sub-species by the year 3000. This will be due to our dependancy on technology. A bit like HG Wells' Time Machine where humanity had become either Eloi or Morlock.
Personally I'd be surprised if any humans will still be around by then.
