Thanks one and all, much appreciated.

The idea is (here's the techy bit) I want to use my existing XP Pro OS to run all the usual mundane rubbish - downloading porn etc but I also want to run cubase SX3 in a win 98SE or 2000 environment as my Yamaha DS2416 cards will not run (see don't have driver support) post 2000 Op systems.

I was hoping I could just install cubase and the 98SE/2000 drivers for the cards on a separate hard drive. If what I'm reading here is right then it seems entirely possible.
