The real issue with Norton, is the fact that many systems get compromised with it installed - and then the AV engine is unable to remove the infection. Then if a user does change their mind, often attempting to remove it is problematic (I recently had to do it manually through the registry).
if someone is happy with Symantec, thats fine by me,but in my opinion there are better options available. Still even Norton is better than nothing.
