OK...follow these steps and see what happens...

open the control panel
print & fax
click the plus to add new printer
click for IP printer
in the address type \\x.x.x.x\print_share_name (where x.x.x.x is the IP of your PC)
select the print driver to use
click add

job done...hopefully!

BTW this was written using OSX 10.4.8, so some of the steps may be slightly different.
