It does make me laugh how whenever Microsoft or Symantec are mentioned (sorry is that supposed to be Micro$oft or $ymantec to all you anti da-man computer lot?) the die-hard computer geeks start lining up to scoff, berate the posters for daring to even think about installing such profit-ware on their PCs and then continue to list a ream of geeky alternatives that only Stephen Hawking would be able to comprehend and probablt don't work as effectively.

Yes Norton is bloaty, yes it will slow your computer down (just like every other anti-virus program) but it's also about the best consumer package for people who don't WANT to understand the alternatives becuase they do actually have a life!
