I'd try taking this Dell software out the equation too. You don't need any software to run through a router.

Tried a reset, I'll try the factory restore next, and I'll un-install software
as I said in Zings post, never tried it without before

I'm back, no joy, I tried all of the above except restoring factory settings, it looks like I have to do that online with the router in the equation but of course, I can't get the router to work at all now
Oh well, another time, I'm off to bed, work tonight
