I have Broadband Internet Access with NTLWorld using a desktop PC and an NTL cable modem (ntl:home 120).
I am just in the process of buying a laptop and want to be able to use its wireless capability to share the main PCs Internet connection and also of course connect with the main PC.
I have some questions related to doing this and would appreciate your advice.
1. There seems to be all manner of wireless routers you can buy. The main PC does not have wireless capability so still needs to be able to connect to Internet via an Ethernet connection. Only the laptop will be wireless. So would this
Belkin router be suitable (it comes with a lifetime guarantee) or would you recommend something else? This unit can be bought in Comet for £50 but I don't know if that is a good price or not?
2. When I set up the wireless network using the unit above or another router, what else would I need to do for the wireless laptop to be able to share Internet access with the main PC?
3. Is there anything else I need to buy or do to make this work?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
