Hi Okonski, thanks for advice. It was 1 or 2-day old messages too (I had a 7-day setting on archiving), and there isn't any archive.pst, so I have no idea where any archived messages have gone, if that is what has happened. The only pst file I can open within Outlook from the archive location brings up a calendar page. The other file is called 'extend' and won't open.
