Nature of the beast, if you've got a dog make him/her wet and stick the dog between your laptop and the wireless router, you'll get no signal lmao. You could try a large attena, but probably won't work either. I'm afraid you'll have to experiment and find the sweet spot in the house for your wireless, or indeed the pc. Not all it is cracked up to be, but I love me cables
