I don't know about pcworld but seeing as it is part of the dixons group then i can only assume they get commision on sales. Maplin don't get commision, only get told off mostly. Advice we give is best to our knowledge but we don't give advice in order to make money but to make the right sale for the customer. We work together by asking each other solutions to peoples problems but obviously problems can occur.

To put it basically we just serve. We don't get pressured to sell stuff to line our pockets.

I can't support my wife and future kids on my money but i'm happy in my job. So help out and come in to you local Maplin to find out what we do. And don't be afraid to haggle, worst we can do is say no (as in we price match local).
