Slow browsing, & virtually no upload?
Your STB shouldn't need to keep being rebooted like that, nor should you keep getting disconnected....
Definitely sounds like you have a problem.
Have you called ntl tech support about the rebooting, disconnections, & upload problem?
Cable modem - may be an idea to have one. Should be better than an STB. If you have problems with an STB BB connection, I
think ntl will give you a cable modem if you ask. May depend on the area...there are quite a few ntl empoyees here, hopefully someone will see your thread & be able to help.
Re flashing lights when the PC is off - generally normal. Have a look at this:
