Cable Forum - View Single Post - Blocky Picture, sides missing and breaks in the viewing

Has anyone noticed that NTL Cable TV has a blocky picture, I know this cus I brough a TV from a friend that had SKY and when I went to have a look at the TV the picture was perfect and when I got it home I noticed that the picture was blocky and that the sides of the picture was missing, (well about an inch each side). Also now and again the picture will go black for about 1-3 seconds and when the picture comes back the voice is out of sync, If I change channel then it goes back to normal, but I was watching something on TV the other day, a quiz and I missed the question cus of this break in the picture, but I have phoned NTL and they told me that it does that at times, but I had NTL back in 2000 at my old address and it never happened once in 3 years, So what does that tell you.
