Just seen the schedules for ITV3 in the Radio Times and it looks like it's going to be one of the better digital channels.

I guess it's all down to personal preference, some will prefer the kiddie/sci-fi fare on Sky One, others the laddish/yob violence on Bravo, or perhaps the supernatural goings on at Living TV. But the more discerning viewer may actually want to watch quality tv, and apart from maybe the terrestrial channels, Hallmark or the BBC digital channels, there's very little of that on TV today.

Can't comment on anywhere other than where I live and work. But I've certainly noticed an increase in the number of people getting ntl recently, several of them cancelling Sky in the process (no surprises there, I did). Could be many reasons for this, the local channel (best local news in the uk) is not on Sky (or even freeview) and is heavily advertised in the local press as being exclusive to ntl (or via analogue terrestrial, but very few can receive a half decent reception), not to mention local ads offering better deals than sky including the family pack for £19.50 with 12 months free phone line rental. etc. ITV3 is just another nail in Sky's coffin, but the death blow will be in 2005, and the introduction of VOD.
