Is this result consistent or is it just a 'snapshot'. Are you using robins speedtest ? http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d...speedtest.html

With any speedtest the results are a snapshot of 'now' but the next test might show totally differnet results. If every line' showed the same as the first then yes there would be something wrong, assuming you are on a 1.5 meg line.

I usually use the test three or four times doing a c&p in between and and try and average out the readings if it's within 98% of my known speed (cause I'm a poor STB user) then all's fine, otherwise its kick an scream time
