Hi,

Im going to power up andwanted to check something.
My new system is this:

Now what I want to know is do I need to press F6 to load up SATA drivers so Windows will recognise the drive when I go and install Win XP Pro.

I heard somewhere that as I am connected to SATA1 connector on Asus P4C 800 E deluxe board, there will be no need to install them. Its only if you are using RAID or SATA2 connectors on the motherboard.
Anyone know if thats right ?

Also, if I do need them, should I download them off the Segate web site for my specific Hard drive, or use the ones that came with my motherboard CD.
