As our well missed friend Proppin would say,its not cheap to run a television channel on cable. Somebody needs to pay for equipment to be put in place for NTL to receive the channel.
When William Hill TV pays NTL the right kind of money it is welcome to a place on its service, but untill then TOUGH!
Do you think it is cheap to run a television channel on Sky then?

Doesn't really matter who owns the satellite if you think about it. It is rather expensive to put the satellite up there for starters and someone has to pay for it. The satellite owner puts it there in the course of their business which is designed to make a profit.

As to whether William Hill TV, or any other channel for that matter, should be on air is a question for the channel owner. Who would want to launch a channel if it wasn't going to make them a profit? The country is made up of millions of people, all with different likes and dislikes, many of them wanting channels that other people think are rubbish.
