My ntl landline can ends outbound calls when I hang up but inbound calls I canââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t end by hanging up, it relies on the other person ending the phone call.

A friend accidentally phoned my home with their mobile in their pocket, I had no way of ending the phone call. I even unplugged my phone from the socket and that did not work!

Has anybody else noticed this?

I think it is just a problem with ntl lines?? Another reason to go back to bt?

Thanks for any help.
This is standard practice on all landlines and has been for decades.

Only the person making the call can actually end that call.
