Actually got a phone call today, on mobile (good thinking!). They just asked if anyone turned up, when I said no, they said; "oh ok, i'll check in to why they didn't turn up".
No further correspondance. At least there seems to be something happening behind the scenes.
No one actually offered an apology for all this yet though... go on, surprise me!
