I gave them 5 weeks notice when I cancelled years ago - was actually moving and they couldn't supply to my new address. They said they'd send me a labelled package so I could return the box - never arrived. On the day I moved out I phoned them and said I was leaving it as hadn't received their packaging, they asked me to leave it with nextdoor (another NTL customer) and the local rep would pick it up... Two months later I went round to see them socially and they asked me to take the box as NTL hadn't been round... If NTL want it they can have it...
