Hmm NUS / student discounts on software at least is usually quite good, for example students get 10% off any software from game, which can be at times cheap but mostly not. Alot of high street stores offer a discount too mostly 10% but can be as high as 20%.

I do remember getting Elite force 2 for pennies as I had about £20 in game vouchers, and they were doing a members first day of release special offer, where it was £29.99 instead of £34.99 i think.

I got the £3.50 taken off for being a student, then £5 off for the promotion then £20 off in vouchers :-) which would made it £6.49 for a game on the day of release which was a total bargain !

Edit looking at the game site they have sims 2 up for £39.99 reduced to £29.99 because of the nice way they work out student discounts that would be £25.99
