Personally if fitting a new in car CD player I would fit one of the MP3 head units... 10 hours music from a single CD, tracks named etc and no need to route cable to the back of the car for a CD Changer...

but Halfords yes, or any smaller car audio center.

(Example - to fit a kenwood (ISO harness to kenwood cable already on it) into a nissan (proprietary harness - £20 at halfords, £5 at my local car audio center)

as far as I know though the current nissans and those from 1992 onwards have ISO harnesses... (2 plugs, one has 8 pins in it, one has less)

and yes, decodes are about £15 at most places...

where abouts do you live? I may be able to recommend somewhere with better prices.
