Both in theory support hyperthreads, in fact its a little more different, you need to force the use of a hardware abstraction layer, which can only be done with either a clean install or an upgrade of Xp and then select multiprocessor support, depending on if you support ACPI, Compaq etc.
I dont belive that it supports configuration as part of a repair.
