Keep it simpler & non technical & without any wiring at all.

Obtain a few large mirrors & arrange them so that they all reflect the picture out of the front room, up the stairs & into the bedroom.
You shold then have a suitable video picture to watch, just turn the volume up & your away.

Note: you may have to sit upside down to watch this.

There, no wiring needed.
