With only 15,00 in the UK, the chances of anyone on this forum with under 5000 members being an actuary is very slight. As a nation we do have a rather poor record when it comes to personal pension provision so it is not suprising that many people are unaware of actuaries and their functions.

As you say, a very good string to your bow all the same.
