I'm not using a Firewall at all at the moment. I have tried with Norton and Zone Alarm. Same thing, STB still dies after a while.

I use Azureus Bit Torrent Client, (I had the same problem with every client I tried though) and set the maximum # of connections per torrent to 50 instead of 100 and the maximum # of torrents connected globally to 500 instead of a thousand to see if that makes any difference. (still connected and downloading at the moment)

I'm now assuming that it's the number of ports open on the PC that is killing the modems traffic in. It's seems like I'm DOS Attacking myself with Bit Torrent. (too many ports open)

It seems to be working fine at the moment but only time will tell if it disconnects again. It's so intermittent at the moment, you never know.
