It depends what sort of phone, most phones with polyphonic ringtones you can just upload a midi file, that Samsung t100 however requires a "tool" to convert the midi file to a special format before uploading it. Midi files are available mostly for free alllll over the internet. If it's for a nokia phone, and you want ringtones for free, find nokia composer tunes and tap them in yourself.
