These bloody drivers are taking the mick.
I must have jinxed myself by viewing this thread earlier because I got home, put a DVD on and all the sounds apart from the music were almost inaudible.
I checked my speaker settings and guess what?
The speaker selection box was blank, again.

Now to uninstall/reinstall..
