Leaving NTL, but will listen to offers

The main reason is that I can easily find a 1mbit broadband account for less than £30. Even allowing for initial setup charges, it will work out cheaper over the year.

So, I rang NTL to ask if they will price-match. The operator said that they are already veery competitive and then passed me to the cancellations dept, where I have been given a date when they will come to collect my stb, cancel internet and phone line.

Now, is there any possibility that somebody from NTL will phone up and offer me a deal comparable to the cheaper ADSL ISPs, or shall I just go ahead and sign up with BT (phone) and then an ADSL ISP afterwards?

I would prefer to stay with NTL, but not at current prices.
