Having just gone through this sign-up yeserday, can I be cheeky and point out you don't need the MAC address of the stand alone cable modem ?
Oh, and it helps if NTL bother setting up your surname correctly on their registration database - if they don't you get an IncorrectSurname report. Apparently, this is very common (I was down as Hatywatrd instead of Hayward - thanks to the Tech Support bod who sorted me y'day).
