Recently, on Radio 4, the programme
Word of Mouth ran a competition to invent some new words for the english language. Here are some of my favourites:
horseproofs - the footprints left by horses (kids entry)
festillities - a gathering of relatives that don't all get on very well
sprognosis - the process of determining the sex of a foetus (the winner)
Any more suggestions?
