In no order...& more than five (just like my post in the fave songs thread
)
Metallica (only up to & including the "Black" album)
Pearl Jam ("Ten" only...they went down hill after that)
Red Hot Chili Peppers (only up to & including Blood Sugar Sex Magik...they sucked without Frusciante, & although they've got better since his return, I still think BSSM was their peak).
Portishead
Rolling Stones (before they got old)
Jimi Hendrix
Sarah McLachlan
PFM
REM (circa Out of Time / Automatic For the People)
Radiohead
The Orb
Nine Inch Nails
Nirvana
Orbital
Beastie Boys
Kristen Hersh
Rage Against the Machine (but nothing after their excellent self-titled album)
Soundgarden
Kings of Leon
Global Communication
and more...depends on my mood
