I think it depends on the garage as to whether they put these in or not. I got one the last time I took my car for an MOT. Personally I don't like having my field of vision with a ruddy great blue square in it, so I took it out - but I can see that it is a good idea for those that forget. Personally my reminder for roadtax is the trigger for everything else, as the insurance and MOT is due about a month after.
