Question broadband takes off in the uk 54mbps coming soon

as the continuing trend of broadband compaines signing up users gathers pace in the uk BT is stepping up rollout of its broadband service to a further 500 exchanges

47% of uk households are connected to the net

though 81% are still on dialup while 17% are on broadband

the report goes on to mention new ways of providing broadband through electricity supplys

but from the end of septemeber a new company called rural broadband will be setting up a wireless service at 54mbps for only £10 per month

aimed at the business end of the market the service may take on home users
