as the continuing trend of broadband compaines signing up users gathers pace in the uk BT is stepping up rollout of its broadband service to a further 500 exchanges

47% of uk households are connected to the net

though 81% are still on dialup while 17% are on broadband

the report goes on to mention new ways of providing broadband through electricity supplys

but from the end of septemeber a new company called rural broadband will be setting up a wireless service at 54mbps for only ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£10 per month

aimed at the business end of the market the service may take on home users
