Gunners boss Wenger says an approach to the Football Association from his club to avoid a repeat has been successful.
"The FA has promised it will change the fixtures and not put the Cup semi-final in front of the Champions League quarter-finals," Wenger revealed.
"I made them aware that it was a mistake as you would be disadvantaged in the Champions League.
"David Dein (vice-chairman of the Gunners and the FA) has told me they will move it. It makes a big change that they have listened to me!"
