I agree. I don't think it is intuitive to keep the selector in the same relative position; pressing down should always mean move to the next programme. As you say, this may have been intentional for quicker programme browsing but it means that the up/down buttons have different actions in the same section of the EPG, giving me something else to try to remember.

I think this is a similar point; pressing up/down seems to keep the selector in the same relative position when changing pages rather than actually move it to the next channel. In otherwords, the up/down buttons are actually behaving as page up/down buttons in certain circumstances, hence you don't get to 705 from 704 (or whatever the correct channel numbers are ). As with the Mini Guide, I think it would be more intuitive to make the up/down buttons behave in the same way throughout the Guide rather than giving them two behaviours.
