DRIVERS TO BE GIVEN GENTLE MOT REMINDERS
Drivers will be given a gentle reminder to make sure their vehicles are MOT tested on time under an initiative announced by Transport Minister John Spellar.

MOT testers will issue stickers to drivers to remind them when their next test is due. The stickers are designed to be placed inside the windscreen.

John Spellar said:
†œReminder stickers are a simple but effective way of reminding drivers when to take their vehicles for an MOT. The test is a vital way of ensuring vehicles meet the basic safety and environmental protection standards required by law.â₠¬Ã‚

†œMany of us lead increasingly busy lives and as a consequence some drivers may simply forget to take their car for an MOT. The reminder sticker will help ensure this does not happen.ââ‚à ‚¬Ã‚

The stickers are not compulsory, but their use is supported by the Motoristsâ₠¬â„¢ Forum, trade groups and the Association of Chief Police Officers.
