I really don't like this assumption that all 1Mbps users will obviously love to pay NTL £3 more. £35 a month is still a hell of a lot in the first place!
If I look at it the way some are blindly doing and take the £3 rise as a rise on the 1Mbps service ignoring the "free" upgrade later, then being asked to pay £3 more for 1Mbps when everyone else isn't being asked for more money and neither are Telewest customers, then it's an outrage! In that case, what am I getting for my extra £3 (again, ignoring the free upgrade later... assume we don't know about that yet)?...
nothing 
Either way, it's £3 a month (£36 a year) more I'd rather not be paying.
