mine was an including phone contract, but i think they have put the prices up now. Every 12 months i get an upgraded phone for the prices of a new contract as well, so i get the new one and sell the old

My g/f has the o2 online PAYG as well and hasn't had any problems with it... the calls are no cheaper than a normal PAYG phone, but the free texts are a bonus.
