There is a number of companies, linksys being one of them, where the warranty is with the manufactuer - quite often if you take it back to the shop, all they can do is send it back to the manurfacturer, so quite often you're best off just speaking to them directly - this is also the case for a lot of printers.

A similar thing happened with a Sansung printer and a Netgear router that I had, basically, if it's not DOA, thien often it is back to the manufacturer - If the distributer for the company you bought it off only support it for 30 days.

Netgear definitly do an advance replacement service, and I think Linksys do too...

As said in previous post, if you get a netgear router from dabs, they refer you to netgear...
