IT equipment fails - that's a fact of life - and the more you have, the more likely it is that you will have something somewhere that has failed. Even if 99.9% of e-mail accounts are ok at any one time then that is 0.1% with a problem (at least 2000 based on the assumption above).
When you have a million customers then even with 99.9% service many hundreds of people throughout NTL will have a problem at any one given time - and since this forum covers all areas - someone will generally be here posting about it. NTL are not perfect by any means but people should remember that you will always get a biased view from this forum - it is, after all, here for tales of hell.  |
