I am using an Ethernet connection,Windows 2000 and Norton Internet Security(NIS)
I keep losing the connection after several hours.
When I run IP config I get an IP adress 169.XXXXXXX
I can reconect by:
1)Disenable NIS
2) Run "IP config/renew"
3 Renable NIS.
This works everytime.
I have searched most of the documents I have found but can find no advice on how to set up NIS for DHCP operation.
Can any help advise how to set up NIS for reliable connection.
