I would have loved to have been split away from the disruptive or not so bright kids.
At boarding school we had to do a test at the end of each year to progress, anyone who failed got the extra help they needed so they moved up a bit later.
Of course they had a heck of a lot more money to spend, and much smaller class sizes (about 20 per class), but the whole school atmosphere was that of wanting to learn, totally different to the crap state schools I've been to.
